RECYCLING
Recycling at a high chemical level Recycling at a high chemical level
Distillation is a thermal separation process based on the different boiling points of the liquids involved. Through evaporation of the liquid and subsequent condensation of the vapor, contaminated mixtures can be purified.
Christoph Dürr GmbH’s resource-saving solution is vacuum distillation. Creating a vacuum in the distillation systems produces lower total pressure in the reactors, which also reduces the boiling point of the mixture to be separated.
Currently we can treat substances in three distillation bubbles with a capacity of about 1.5 m³ to 2 m³ of solvent: The contaminated substances are first heated in an evaporator to the respective boiling point. The resulting rising vapors are subsequently condensed and collected in a distillate receiver for quality control. Our quality standards are very high, so continuous samples are taken for testing to ensure consistent quality.
The contaminants remain in the system during the distillation process and are then disposed of properly by us. Depending on the product, we can guarantee a yield of about 80 to 85 percent.
We will gladly test whether your contaminated solvents are suitable for distillation. We can offer you the best solution for waste recycling through a short sample check in our own laboratory.
